Physical Therapy Central (PTC) was awarded the “Practice of the Year”

Louisville, KY (January 4, 2011): Physical Therapy Central (PTC) was awarded the “Practice of the Year” this year in a nationwide contest by ADVANCE Magazine for Physical Therapy and Rehab Medicine and was profiled on the cover of ADVANCE Magazine’s December 13th issue. PTC stood out among a record number of contestants in the areas of customer service, revenue growth, staff development, and their leadership in the promotion of physical therapy. Bridgit Finley, PT, DPT, OCS, one of PTC’s partners, is a graduate of Evidence In Motion’s (EIM) Executive Program in Private Practice Management and plans to begin EIM’s Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship in 2011.

PTC is one of EIM’s official Network Partners. The partnership between PTC and EIM began during Dr. Finley’s Executive Program in Private Practice Management studies, which prepares practice owners and managers with strategies for competitive success. Several PTC therapists are currently undergoing post-professional education and training through EIM. In turn, the collaboration helps the company recruit the top therapy candidates to join the crew. In October, EIM announced that PTC had achieved the status of Network Partner, meaning its clinics would serve as a teaching hub for the hands-on learning component of EIM’s Orthopedic Residency, Sports Residency, and Fellowship Program in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. EIM maintains these ground-level affiliations to complement the distance learning portion of its didactic curriculum.

“We seek partnerships with like-minded clinics and hospital systems to further our objectives of evidence-based practice and the goals of [APTA’s] Vision 2020,” George Burkley, MBA, CHE, CEO of EIM explains. “Bridgit has been a great collaborator, and taken the lead in connecting us with faculty members at Oklahoma University to triangulate that partnership. We’ve been extremely impressed with the folks at Physical Therapy Central from a leadership and clinical perspective.”

PTC currently has seven locations in Oklahoma including Norman, Newcastle, Pauls Valley, Choctaw, Oklahoma City, Stillwater, and Chickasha. The PTC group began in 2004 with a partnership between the physical therapists and their company philosophy is to provide exceptional customer service, plus expert clinical care to achieve remarkable patient outcomes. The company’s Mission is the reason that we exist is to get you, “Back to Work, Back to Play, Back to Life.”
