I graduated from Regis University (Denver, CO) in 2009 with my DPT. Early on I knew my passion was with pediatrics and I began working at two different outpatient clinics directly out of school. One of these clinics being the clinic I’m currently working for, Colorado In Motion in Fort Collins. I’ve been able to enjoy a combination of both home based early intervention services and clinic based treatments. When I began working there, we started with one clinic that was primarily an outpatient orthopedic adult facility and I was allowed the opportunity to help grow the pediatrics division. We now have five clinics with two locations dedicated to pediatrics. I currently manage 8 pediatric PT’s and OT’s and feel I have so much to learn with regards to managing a practice. I look forward to gaining the leadership and business management knowledge to continue the positive growth of our company.
In my personal life, my husband and I just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. We have one dog and two active, adorable and exhausting daughters ages 4 and 17 months. I love being outdoors hiking, gardening, running and have taken on a new hobby of beekeeping!
Patients go through graduation ceremony. They complete a form that is mailed to MD regarding their progress. Patients are encouraged to come to Yoga classes and workshops about Mind and body connection.

Grayslake Rehabilitation has been in business since 2005 and I have been a PT for 25 years this year! GLR employs 4 full time physical therapists and 1 part time PTA. In the past year we have been selected to work with 2 separate university projects for studies with the NIH. Grayslake Rehab prides itself in teaching students and mentoring the upcoming generation of PTs. GLR is housed in 8,000 square feet including an endless pool with 2 underwater treadmills.
Our practice is 16+ years new, and the bio you can get online. Here are the fun facts… On payday Fridays, we all wear company team jerseys and look like a baseball team, and on the other Fridays, we all wear Hawaiian shirts. Patients have caught on and have also started to participate!
Once per month, we treat the entire staff to a Starbucks drink of their choice, and once per month we order the BEST burritos in town for everyone. We also have two off-site team-building activities per year, and a $100 bill giveaway for some sort of competition at our all staff meetings once per quarter. It’s always good for laughs and a little healthy competition.
Pappas Physical Therapy has been in business for about 10 years and now has 7 locations in Rhode Island. We are privately owned by Mike (PT) and Jackie Pappas (OT). We focus on various specialties including orthopedics, hand therapy, vestibular rehab, concussion management, women’s health/pelvic PT, Aquatics, and we also have a fitness studio with personal training. In a competitive area we focus on providing up to date care and place a big emphasis on continuing education (mostly through EIM) as well as a company wide focus on over the top customer service. Our slogan is “we treat you like family”. These are our values and we think a way to set us apart in such a condensed area. We are the third largest PT company in our small state, but recently won the readers choice for best PT practice through the Providence Journal which is our state wide newspaper. We beat out the two larger companies after it was narrowed down to the top 3. This was based on consumer voting, so it’s something we were very proud of!
M.S. in PT
I graduated from The Ohio State University in 1990 when it was a Bachelor’s in Science – Allied Health. I was excited to find this program where I can obtain my tDPT while learning more management skills. I have been a manager for 3/4 of my career in multiple different settings. I have basically managed in all settings, except pediatrics. The setting that I enjoy the most and have returned to recently is home care, where you meet people in their own environment. I am the Director of Rehab Services for American Mercy Home Care. This program will help me advance in my new role where I am responsible for 8 teams of approximately 80 therapists. My other reason for pursuing this degree was that I enjoy teaching CEUs, which have mainly been through the Ohio Physical Therapy Association (OPTA). I am currently the OPTA Ethics Chair. Eventually, when I decide to hang up my management hat, a tDPT degree will give me more credibility as a presenter, which will be my “retirement” career.
I work for Pappas Physical and Hand Therapy of East Greenwich/Healthtrax. We emphasize patient-centered care and keeping a family atmosphere while delivering excellent care with an evidenced-based approach.
Oakhurst Physical Therapy was founded in 2000 by CSU, Fresno grads, Tony and Lori McLean, located in California near Yosemite National Park. We like to ‘Work and Play’ in our beautiful mountain setting abundant with hiking trails, water sports, and a canvas-backdrop for any artist.
Our 5000 sq ft facility is an orthopedic practice with wellness programs to include group exercise classes and after-care gym memberships. Fun Facts: Our office is home to our son’s photography gallery boasting our backyard experiences. Our staff loves to participate in the local community ‘Scarecrow’ competition having won the trophy 3 years consecutively. In-house we host our own Pumpkin carving contest among the staff with the clients voting for their favorite pumpkin and the winner receiving a $100 gift certificate to a local restaurant.

This clinic was discussed on our first date as we learned more about one anothers goals and dreams – at ages 19 and 21. Three children, 27 years of marriage and a little grit have all helped that dream establish what is now Terrapin Physical Therapy, INC celebrating 18 years of transformation!
Penrose Physical Therapy is a 100% cash-based outpatient physical therapy center and wellness center. I began my practice in my home after converting my living room and a spare bedroom into clinic space. 2 years later I moved into a commercial space where I have been for the last 3 years. Last year we expanded our building to include a studio space, adding yoga classes and community education workshops/classes including: infant massage, runner’s workshop, breastfeeding support group, and back and neck pain workshops.

I got my start as an outpatient orthopedic PT 18 years ago at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. After 2 years I joined a new private practice as the 2nd PT (besides the owner), where I have been for the past 16 years. We have grown steadily over this time to now over 60 PTs working in several systems. We do contract work for a local medical group, are onsite at a couple businesses in the area, and just opened our 3rd community based clinic through an acquisition earlier this year. Oh, and I became a partner in the practice recently as well. It has been a wild ride and I look forward to the next 15 years!
I have been a physical therapist since 1995 when I graduated from University of Maryland Eastern Shore. I started my own outpatient practice in 2012. We now have 2 locations and an athletic performance business that serves our local needs for community fitness and athletic training.

We recently celebrated our 10th year in practice and have expanded from 1- 3 clinics. I have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by some of my wife (co-owner), the best support staff, and physical therapists that make our patient’s experience exceptional. (over 150 5 star Google reviews) We have “specialty” areas for each therapist. All therapists have advanced certification or will be certified in a specialty area shortly. We just moved our original clinic to a new location 2 weeks ago after 10 years at the prior location. Living in Husker land as a Hawkeye!
