Evidence In Motion (EIM), an educational institution providing postgraduate and continuing education programs for physical therapists, is transforming Louisville into a regional hub for physical therapy events. During the month of September, EIM is hosting or co-hosting three events: PTVille, The Physical Therapy Graham Sessions, and a new Executive Program in Private Practice Management (EPPM) cohort. The events will cover a wide range of subjects from leadership and clinic operations to tough issues facing physical therapy industry professionals.
PTVille, taking place at the University of Louisville Shelby Campus, will bring in Physical Therapy clinic managers from across the Midwest for a leadership conference. The second event that EIM will host is the EPPM cohort. The Louisville kick-off event will begin the 12-month journey for more than 55 physical therapy private practice owners from around the nation to learn how to enhance their business savvy and increase their share in the marketplace.
The third and final event EIM is co-hosting in Louisville is The Regional Graham Sessions. The 2012 sessions will tackle three important issues facing the physical therapy industry: physical therapy higher education, the physician referral system and its impact on physical therapy, and the growing cost of health care. This is the first time these debates have come to Louisville.
“EIM is excited to bring these great events and physical therapists from across the country to the EIM headquarters here in Louisville,” states EIM Principal Larry Benz, DPT, MBA, OCS, ECS. “What these physical therapists learn, accomplish, and discuss at the events will have a long-term, positive impact on our industry and the money they spend will have a positive economic impact on the local community as well.”
