Evidence In Motion (EIM) is proud to announce that CEO John Childs, PT, PhD, MBA, has been recognized as one of San Antonio’s Health Care Heroes by the San Antonio Business Journal.
The 2017 Health Care Heroes awards recognize those who have made an impact on the health care industry in the San Antonio through their concern for patients, their research and inventions, their management skills, their innovative programs for employees and their services. The 20 award winners will be honored during an awards dinner on May 25 at Pearl Stable. Dr. Childs will be recognized for his work in the military medicine field.
A graduate from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a BS in biology (1994), he completed his MPT from US Army-Baylor University (1996) and served a 20-year career in the Air Force, having collaborated on more than $10 million in grant funding and published more than 150 papers in leading scientific journals. In addition to his role as therapist and CEO of Evidence In Motion, Dr. Childs serves as an Associate Professor in the US Army-Baylor Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy. He is the youngest ever Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association, the profession’s highest honor recognizing individuals for professional excellence and making a profound impact in advancing the profession.
“It’s an honor to be recognized as one of San Antonio’s Health Care Heroes, but awards like this are far more a reflection of having a terrific team around me than it is recognition of individual accomplishment. I feel fortunate to have worked with some of the best clinicians, researchers, and business minds in the physical therapy industry,” said Childs.
