Evidence In Motion Announces Attendance at APTA Educational Leadership Conference

The Evidence In Motion (EIM) Institute of Health Professions, a company created to assist in the continued education of physical therapists, is delighted to announce their attendance at the 2012 American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Educational Leadership Conference in Greenwich, Connecticut from October 5, 2012 to October 7, 2012. EIM’s presence will include an interactive booth that showcases EIM’s Clinical Excellence Network (CEN) and educational offerings and products. Additionally, EIM faculty members will be presenting during the conference.

The APTA Educational Leadership Conference is a national meeting for academic and clinical faculty in physical therapy education. The 2012 conference programing will be geared toward promoting the partnership between academic and clinical instructions to strengthen physical therapy education.

EIM will be exhibiting at booth number 4 and attendees are welcome to visit the booth to learn about EIM’s CEN and educational offerings and meet the following EIMers: Mike Walker, PT, DSc and Kevin Wait, PT, DPT. Walker and Wait will be presenting at the conference as well on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 10:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. on the on “The Clinical Excellence Network: An Emerging Partnership Between Academics, Clinical Practice, And Private Enterprise.”

The CEN is a new clinical education internship program that is a collaborative effort between academic institutions, EIM Network Partner clinical practices, and EIM, designed to standardize the clinical curriculum, training, performance evaluation, and development of physical therapy students. The CEN is a progressive new approach to clinical education and comparable to the internship model used by the medical profession.
