Join our discussion on the familiar topic of soft tissue injury in sports, through a less familiar lens of neuropathic evaluation and management. Using athlete hamstring injuries as an example, we will examine how the initial injury and healing cascade will ultimately compromise the nutrition, mobility, health, and function of the associated neural components.
Beyond this, we will detail how to assess potential underlying neuropathic dysfunction, which predisposes these athletes to soft tissue injury and re-injury. This session does not require you to have dry needling experience, but will discuss the powerful impact Functional Dry Needling can have on the nervous system in managing and preventing acute and chronic sports injuries.
Ultimately, these considerations for the underlying neurologic aspects of our athletes in regards to both injury prevention and rehabilitation – will improve your outcomes as a provider.
Following the education session, we invite you to join Dr. Edo Zylstra, Program Director and CEO of KinetaCore, as he provides an overview of KinetaCore’s Functional Dry Needling Certification program and Functional Dry Needling courses.
