Individuals who identify as transgender or nonbinary often encounter significant biases and lack of education when seeking medical care, which can be a substantial barrier. This webinar will discuss definitions and strategies for creating an atmosphere that is knowledgeable and welcoming for individuals who identify this way. We’ll also cover information that physical therapists need to know regarding the impact of hormones on the musculoskeletal system, and do a brief overview of gender confirmation surgery.
