"Committed
to developing evidence-based physical therapist practices,
practitioners, and clinician scientists around the world and
distinguishing physical therapists as the practitioners of choice for
musculoskeletal disorders."
Evidence in Motion is an education and business practice consultation
company whose sole reason for existence is to create and
promote a culture of evidence-based practice within the physical
therapy profession. In striving to achieve our
mission, we aim to foster the global
sharing of information and ideas and thus
advance evidence-based physical therapy practice, research,
and education around the world.
Our mission is to partner with and equip
individual practitioners and physical therapy practices with premiere
resources and training necessary for becoming leaders
in evidence-based practice. We seek to develop long-term
relationships with our parters, come alongside them, and assist
them in
integrating the full spectrum of evidence-based practice, thus
enhancing their ability to provide best practice care for
patients with
musculoskeletal conditions. Furthermore, we seek to create value in the
eyes of key health care stakeholders (consumers, referral
sources, vendors, and third-party payers) for our partners being
a distinguished leader in evidence-based practice who delivers high quality, affordable health care.
To accomplish our aim, we have successfully
leveraged our expertise into 'turnkey' best practice systems. These systems are
designed to reduce unnecessary practice variation, reduce costs, and
improve outcomes. To support these systems, we have developed an
immense repository of consultative and educational products and
services using cutting edge information technology solutions, which are
specifically tailored for and deployed within our
partners’ practice. Some of these products and
services include:
Consultation and marketing
package (concise, trademarked pre-processed evidence summaries for the
most common physical therapy diagnoses, customized, branded monthly
newsletters, evidence-based, branded prescription pad, etc.)
Premiere
evidence-based education and training courses delivered in a
variety of online and hands-on formats
Consultation for pursuing advanced academic and
post-professional education opportunities (ie, Fellowship
training)
Minimum database outcomes monitoring system
Web-based information
technology applications (blog, podcasts, downloadable PDA tools,
newsfeeds, CAT Bank, Author in the Room, etc.)
Our vision is simple: Physical therapists will
become the practitioners of choice in the management of
musculoskeletal disorders and the "Vision
2020" statement of the American Physical Therapy Association
will be realized well before 2020.
The principles that guide our philosophy and business practice include
the following core principles:
Integrity
Excellence
Service
We expect that
conducting business based on our guiding principles will result in our
ability to exceed your expectations in every aspect and deliver on what
we promise. The ultimate marker of our success will be improved
decision-making that translates into improved outcomes of care,
satisfaction, and costs for consumers who seek care from our physical
therapist partners.
The Evidence in Motion team consists of the following key leaders in
education, research, and business practice.
